A HELPING HOLIDAY! In your community, more than 10,000 homeless dogs and cats will find themselves in pet shelters this year. This Christmas while shopping.. won't you pick up a few items? Your local SPCA specializes in care, compassion and hope however there's a list of items that they can always use. Help them provide the best possible care by donating items from their wish list. ------------------------ Cat litter, non-clumping. Roughly 150 lbs of litter are used daily in our shelter. ------------------------ 10-12 lb dog or cat food. Roughly 800 lbs of food are used per month. That’s about 28 lbs of food per day! ------------------------ Dog and cat treats. 5 lbs of dog treats are used daily in the shelter alone. ------------------------ Laundry detergent. (liquid or powder) An average of 30 loads of laundry are washed and dried every day. ------------------------ Puppy pads, stainless steel food bowls, blankets, bath towels and electric blankets ------------------------ And the ultimate donation would be to provide a forever home to a furry four legged friend. By adopting a pet, you’re not only providing that animal a loving family and a safe home, you’re also making room for the sheltering of another homeless pet.
