Hi, your local mental health advocate here✨ I want to pop in with a reminder: THE PANDEMIC IS NOT A PRODUCTIVITY CONTEST: . . ✨If you've made goals during this time at home and you've fallen behind, that's ok. . ✨If you had wanted to learn 20+ gourmet meal recipes but haven't or can't, that's ok. . ✨If you haven't made the fricking banana bread (that every person online seems to be making), that's ok. . ✨If you slept in and didn't wake up to your alarm, that's ok. . ✨If you're sad and want to stay in bed, tha'ts ok. . ✨If you've been stress-eating and not joining in on live at home workouts, that's ok. . . And the list goes on. Social media should be used for inspiration and motivation but we need to understand that we all cope differently. This is the time for us to listen to our physical bodies, our minds and emotions and this is the time for us to heal and take care of ourselves. THIS IS A GLOBAL CRISIS and there's so much uncertainty and fear around the world. I'm not trying to scare anyone, but it is the truth. ITS OK to be anxious, ITS OK to be afraid. This is absolutely NOT the time to be tying our worth with our productivity. You are WORTHY regardless of whatever the hell you get accomplished during the day. Listen to your mind and body and do what YOU need to do to take care of yourselves. Self care isn't always essentials oils and masks and baths, honestly some of us don't even have that luxury. SELF- CARE depends on what YOU need to do for YOURSELF✨ you are not alone✨
