Even though Jordan here was in his jumping prime, the Pistons packed the lane with their big bodies to deny him from dunking in this game while forcing him to shoot 11-26, a rather horrific FG% by his standards. With sticky defender Dumars determined to shadow his every move, MJ uncorked his patented, reload-hangtime jumper again and again - which was as satisfying as any dunks. MJ led his young Bulls to the finish line against the elite Pistons with his unique athleticism but the Pistons' big bodies in the paint were too much in the end. Isiah Thomas' incredible clutch plays and buckets also helped out just a bit. The intensity of this game to the finish was just a taste of what was to come in the years ahead.
