@Candidates 2018 Week 1 Review - IM Valeri Lilov [FREE WEBINAR]
Whether at the Candidates Tournament or a local club, there are certain chess principles all players must employ to get a good game. GM Axel Delorme explains the modern chess fundamentals in his new Master Method - get instant access with 50% off ► https://ichs.co/2IrqZAb The 2018 Candidates Tournament is living up to all the hype! Eight of the world's top players are battling it out amongst themselves for the right to face Magnus Carlsen later this year for the World Chess Championship. Levon Aronian, Shakhriyar Mamedyarov, Vladimir Kramnik, Alexander Grischuk, Ding Liren, Wesley So, Fabiano Caruana and Sergey Karjakin - with such a strong field, it is anyone's guess who will come out on top. Sparks have flown already, with Mamedyarov winning his first game with the black pieces against the Minister of Defence, Karjakin. In round 3, Kramnik faced top favorite Levon Aronian and completely destroyed the opponent in what must go down as one of the best games of 2018 so far, if not one of the best Candidates games we've seen. And Aronian bounced back in the very next round with a victory with black. With each player facing off against each other twice in this tournament, we're on the edge of our seats as it remains very close and players are fighting for decisive results. Will Karjakin face Carlsen for the second World Chess Championship match in a row, hoping to go one step further than his last attempt? Will the veteran Kramnik show that he's still got it and achieve another World Championship title? Could Caruana, who came so close in the last cycle, get the match every chess player dreams of? Whoever wins, one thing is certain - it won't be easy, and it'll certainly be entertaining and educational for us spectators. At the end of this first week of play in the 2018 Candidates Tournament, join IM Valeri Lilov as he picks out some of the games he found the most interesting and entertaining. Valeri will talk you through his choice games, analysing them and explaining the ideas behind the top grandmaster's play. ► Corresponding article from this video with extra goodies: **** https://ichs.co/2Iozg7T ****** ► Come checkout the iChess.net shop, we have the world’s largest collection of chess videos and chess courses: https://ichs.co/iChessShop ********** Other Videos from iChess ********** ► Subscribe to our main Youtube Channel: https://ichs.co/iChSubscribe ► Check out award winning Master Method video series: https://ichs.co/MasterMethod ********** FOLLOW US ON SOCIAL: *********** Facebook: https://ichs.co/iChessFB Twitter: https://ichs.co/iChessTwitter YouTube: https://ichs.co/iChSubscribe ********** Our Other YouTube Channels *********** iChess en español: https://ichs.co/iChessESP
