http://www.iwagglevr.com Hello people! Long time not publishing a video of my own isn't it? Well, here is my first one, finally! :D Since the days of PlayStation Move I like to make videos portraying my Move-tracked hands on top of game footage in order to better represent how things work. With VR I wanted to push things litterally further and actually put my hands into the game world. During the past months I've been thinking about how to do that, experimenting with various solutions until I found one that appears to get the job done. Today, I'm pleased to share with you my first, practical experiment conducted with the actual PlayStation VR. The results are not as good as I wish yet but will improve once I get my Mac back from assistance (GPU failed the day PSVR came out!). Anyway, Batman: Arkham VR is a perfect testbed for my technique since it has a lot of hands-based interaction going on. In this video you'll see just my hands, but the idea is to display a 3rd person view of my back/head as well, kinda like I did for my Move: Fitness playthrough (you can check it out here: https://youtu.be/ZufC0CDkv6o). I only have one camera at the moment (a GoPro attached to the PSVR). As soon as I get a second one, I'll be able to show the "whole picture". Finally, I managed to capture the binaural audio feed coming from the PSVR inline remote output so that you can enjoy 3D audio as long as you wear headphones.
