PART 1 of an ongoing "Made-For-Internet" SERIES. In 2011, as an inside joke between my best friend Jorgé & I, I made a little video called "Bobby Rydell: The Awkward Made-For-Internet Movie" (http://youtu.be/ED9Z6k88w_A). Jorgé, in turn, because she is completely awesome, made her own response to it called, "Neil Sedaka: The Awkward Made-For-Internet Movie". (GO WATCH NOW!: http://youtu.be/H8zIgcxMrqI) And yes, if you are wondering, we are, in fact, two mature, grown-up adult girls, who like to dress up as characters & make unnecessary movies, bc, let's face it, it IS the coolest thing to do. To explain as best I can what this whole concept is, it's a sort of fan fiction, but taken to the next level. It's kinda like what would happen, in our minds, if some of our interests & favorite people came together in some imaginative world, where they had to interact with one another for no logical reason whatsoever, & no one is exactly sure what year it is. I had so much fun with my original "Bobby" movie that I decided to continue the story with this sequel series. It includes a plethora of new & returning characters. Characters like: Bobby Rydell! Roddy McDowall! Disneyland's Mad Hatter & Pat E. Cake! David Lee Roth! Jessica Rabbit! Steve Perry! Billy Joel! Weird Al! And way too many others! Oh and of course,...ME. (cuz who ELSE would have agreed to be in my movie to play all these parts?...Not that I'd let anyone else be in it anyway, but still.) The BASIC story is that Roddy McDowall has just moved over from London & into Bobby Rydell's house after Melanie (Bobby's chick) offered him a place to stay. Melanie had hoped the 2 boys would become good friends, but Bobby doesn't trust the spoiled little smug brat that Roddy is & knows he is just mooching off him & plans to steal his girl. Melanie has assured Bobby that she & Roddy are merely just friends and never believes him when he tries to tell her that Roddy is bad news. He's constantly having to restrain himself over the whole situation, knowing that his actions could ultimately lead to losing Melanie. But can Bobby keep his cool forever? Just how far will Roddy go to destroy him?? Will Neil Sedaka EVER learn how to work his dvd player??? Only time will tell. But fortunately, Bobby's not alone in this. With the help & advice from some of his '80s pals along the way, he's in PERFECT hands, ..right? Meanwhile, somewhere across town, down in Disneyland, there is equal trouble a-brewin' for one of Bobby's old friends, the Mad Hatter. Hatter resides at his little hat shop, located in the heart of Main Street U.S.A, where he works with his trusty colleague & loyal confidant, Alfred, a struggling musician he took in who might one day become a famous songwriter. Exiled long ago to the outskirts of Main Street lives Patrick Edward Cake, a spineless evil baker, & ex-business partner turned arch-nemesis of the Mad Hatter. The two sworn enemies have had a past like no other, but while Hatter has tried to move on from it, Pat's been plotting revenge against him for years. He knows a secret or two about Hatter and he'll stop at nothing to ruin him & take back what he believes is rightfully his. This cowardly, conniving, little baker may be out to find a chump to carry out his evil scheme, but is he about to get himself mixed up with the wrong fall guy? Since the original Bobby movie I made in 2011 was SO well-received by the friendly Bobby fans across the country, (sarcasm), I feel I have to add a million disclaimers all over this thing to keep the potential bashing down. Seriously people, DON'T take it seriously. TO BE CLEAR: These are purposely exaggerated and/or made-up CHARACTER versions of these people. They are NOT supposed to be accurate depictions! I'm not that talented anyway, so honestly, that would never work. I'm aware my singing & acting capabilities are atrocious and I should probably be punished for them. I'm an awkward, quiet, shy girl in real life, so being in front of a camera ain't my forte. I'm also aware the quality on this looks & sounds ghastly. My camera is ancient. I KNOW. I'm aware of lots of things. I'm aware of everything technically & logically wrong with this series. Just...SETTLE. DOWN. I do not at all expect everyone to understand each joke or subtle reference I threw in here.
