This video includes scenes (incl. driving the M3A EMU train from North White Plains to Bronxville) from the Metro-North Railroad Harlem Line Route for Train Sim World 2. The simulated route extends over 38 km with terminating stations at New York City's Grand Central Terminal and North White Plains station in Westchester county, New York. A single station on the Hudson Line (Yankees-East 153rd St near Yankee Stadium) is included. Two EMU variants are included, namely the M7 and older stock M3A. The simulated route includes over 200 scheduled services based on actual timetables. The southern section of the route is shared by all three of Metro-North's commuter rail corridors (Hudson, Harlem and New Haven Lines). To mention a few initial findings and gripes re the route, although nothing major: - Grand Central Terminal includes only one underground concourse level, eg. the iconic Main Concourse is not accessible in the simulated route. - Some of the buildings especially in New York City seem a bit generic - Crickets audible in winter season Pros: - Very interesting route for commuter rail fans with varying rural and urban landscapes - Very nice EMU trains with realistic horn sounds. The M7 EMU train has very good acceleration and braking power - Train stations in general are very detailed except for GCT
