In Season's video: The Little Hawk Portages Search 2012

@The Little Hawk Portages (Search) 2012
A plan to rehabilitate and re-open the historic portages that connected the West Montreal River to the Grassy River have been approved. The application to the Ontario Ministry of Natural Resources was made jointly by two local groups of outdoor enthusiasts: The Friends of Grassy River in Timmins and the Friends of Temagami. The purpose of the permit application was to allow members and volunteers the possibility to re-open a historic height of land portage between the West Montreal River and the Grassy River. There are four short passages that connect these two rivers. Re-establishing those corridors will "give opportunities to our youth and all paddlers the experience that takes them through historical travels of our forefathers and those that helped develop our great nation"
