I really only uploaded this so that I could put out a status update in something other than the community tab, and I can't make videos right now, so I had to use this. This is a short fancam-style video I made for twitter-only back in November 2020 (hence the aspect ratio, lol). Also, this is indeed the same stage as the Autophagy video. Little did y'all know I have used this stage in like, 4 other videos that are currently unlisted. EZ ecks dee hello friends! it's been a long time. (tl;dr at the bottom, if you don't have time to read thru my rambles) i've missed you all very much, and i'm sorry for the lack of uploads for so long. unfortunately, this was not because I wanted to take a break or anything of that sort, but because I am unable to make MMDs or play 3D games for an indefinite amount of time. Back in April, there was a Windows 10 update (April 14th, "security" update KB5001330) that caused issues for a small percentage of people, mostly those with gaming-orientated computers, specifically those with NVIDIA graphics cards. even more unfortunately, i was one of the unlucky few to have issues with this update. it essentially made my computer incapable of running any 3D games or software above 15 fps. I cannot do MMD at all. It's impossible to make my videos look nice and up to par when I can barely preview them. I could go through the arduous task of re-rendering every time I spotted a mistake, but I'm a student; I don't have that kind of time for something that doesn't further my education nor provide income. Most of my games would crash, and my computer's temperature (which is a laptop, mind you) could peak at 105 DEGREES CELSIUS. It's absolutely insane. I didn't realize it was the update until around 10 days after it'd been automatically installed- by that point, I had done a system defrag which deleted all of the update files, making me unable to even uninstall or rollback the update. After backing up my files I decided to do a system reset in May. Because of this, I was able to uninstall the update. However, I believe it has done permanent damage to my computer. But as I said... I am extremely tight on money right now, I'm only a student. I can't afford to take in my computer to be fixed, especially because I use it for my schoolwork as well. I would normally ask my mother and pay her back later, but she's a nurse working through this pandemic. She is extremely stressed and I'm not allowed to have much contact with her as is, I cannot add this to her plate of issues. I definitely need to redo the thermal paste on my laptop, but I'm not skilled enough to do so myself. Furthermore, I'm also having issues with my DISM. I'm no computer expert, and perhaps I sound like an idiot right now to those more technically savvy, but from what I've found online (and looking through my logs for error codes and the like) it's been "destroyed", I need a Windows 10 ISO to restore it. All of this is just a huge bucket of stress, which is the last thing I need right now. If anyone has any tips in regards to what I can do about my computer, I'd really appreciate it. Though fair warning, I've already done most of what I could to my knowledge. I think I'll be looking into saving up to build my own PC in the future (and sell this one, if possible), but as many of you may know, PC parts/specifically GPUs and the like, are overpriced as all hell right now (thanks bitcoin miners, very cool) and thus I don't know how long it would take for me to get even close to completing a new PC. Thus, I am on an indefinite, involuntary hiatus until I can figure out WTF to do. Realizing all this was caused because of a windows 10 update really is sumn else. ((shivers in days i actually spent crying because i felt so stupid and hopeless and it was messing with my disorder)) TL;DR A windows 10 update destroyed my computer and I can't do jack shit about it because 1. I am Poor 2. I don't have time for that shit 3. Too much stress to be dealt with, too much work to be done. I'm a broke ass student and I need my computer for school, so sending it into a shop is a very difficult decision to make. Therefore in the meantime, I don't know when I'll be able to make MMDs again or even play games. (Also, I don't know if I have the money to have it fixed.)
