The spermatozoa of Phallusia mammillata (Ascidian, Urochordate) demonstrate chemo-attraction to polystyrene beads containing the "egg water" of the same species. Movement of sperm cells is observed and video-recorded through the transparent beads by dark field microscopy with stroboscopic illumination.
