Video-microscopy of Salmon spermatozoa recorded by optical microscopy at high magnification with a high speed video-camera: 1000 images/sec ; 100X Phase Contrast Optics. The sperm cells are exposed to river water since several seconds for activation of motility: osmotic defects appear along the flagellum and limit the duration of the swimming period (around 30 sec at 20°C).
