As seen on August 20, 2010 at the Berkley Cruisefest Woodward Dream Cruise Parade. The legendary George Barris, "King of the Kustomizers", served as Grand Marshal. Dean Jeffries designed and built the original Monkeemobile from a 1966 GTO, but Barris supposedly assisted in the restoration of this vehicle (1 of the 2 originals), which was actually used on the Monkees TV series during 1966-68. Lore also says that this same GTO may have started life as one of the blue '66 GTO convertibles used on the I Dream of Jeannie series.
