Tatsumi es un chico de campo que llega a la capital del Imperio para alistarse ver Akame Ga Kill! 2014 en el ejército. Su intención es ascender rápidamente para poder ganar dinero y salvar a su pueblo del hambre debido a los grandes impuestos que tienen que pagar. Pero cuando llega a la ciudad se da cuenta que no todo anime es como él esperaba. Debido a una anime serie de acontecimientos deberá enfrentarse a un grupo de sicarios conocido como Night Raid, pero la capital esconde secretos que Tatsumi jamás podría imaginar...
