Titled Look Once, Look Twice, this film represents the language of the body – juxtaposing strength and fragility. Models are suspended in mid-air – jumping, twirling and slowly coming back down to the ground – representing sculptures brought to life. These movements too exaggerate the fabric used in Jitrois’ collection, stretch leather and intricate embroidery twist in beautiful detail throughout the film. “Throughout their history, Jitrois have pushed boundaries with their visuals, creating powerful, feminine poses”, says Rankin. “I wanted to take that to the next level, playing with the mind’s eye and the sensual experience of what we’re seeing. I love photography that stops you in your tracks and question how it is done. That is what we’ve achieved here and Jitrois were, once again, the perfect creative collaborators.” And this feeling is reciprocated from Jitrois too, with Jean Claude Jitrois continuing: “We’ve got a great history with Rankin and are really excited about our future.
