The Fat Gripz also increase the ROM slightly, because they "move" the bar further away from my hands. *When I took the Fat Gripz OFF the bar (for my last warm-up set) - the bar felt like a twig in my hand, and the range of motion felt much shorter...(almost like a 2-board press). This made 405 & 425 feel lighter than they ever have for me. DUMBBELL CURLS - I supersetted light DB curls with my warm-up sets on the bench press to get a pump in my biceps. This helps my elbows feel better. The pump in my bi's also gives me a little extra "bounce" off my forearms in the bottom position when I'm pressing the bar off my chest (much like a powerlifter with a big belly that bounces off his quads in the bottom position of a squat). Hopefully this insight into my warm-up helps you guys. These 2 tricks really do make a difference when you bench. Give them a try! -Joe D. ============================================
