NOTE: No Copyright Infringement Intended- audio and video used to critique the films under fair use. I used the audio of the Promethius teaser with shots from Alien that are extremely close to the same as the teaser's shots taken from the new film. This is a smarmy illustration of how I felt WAY too much of the new film's plot was lifted from the old one. For instance (SPOILER ALERT!): "RIDDLE ME THIS... So I'm watching the movie where the crew of a spaceship land on a desolate planet with violent weather patterns. They go inside a strange structure that is full of odd little containers with organisms moving around in them. Before you know it, an infected crewmember is helped back to the ship by others, but the chick in charge won't let him be brought inside. Turns out their android science officer is acting on secret orders, and the crew is considered expendable. Now one of the crew has a lifeform gestating inside them, and once it is out, it grows really fast and goes on the attack. People die all over the place and even the android gets his head torn off. But it all turns out okay when their ship is sacrificed and the one tough chick escapes as the sole surviving human." What movie did I just watch?
