jwramc's video: Panicked buck on highway steered toward exit

While driving my route for work on November 12th, 2019, I came upon a panicked buck on the highway median. He was running from one side to the other, changing direction again and again because of the traffic. He ended up leaping onto the travel lanes in front of me, bringing me to a crawl. I spotted the opening in the wall under the overpass and quickly came up with a plan. He then tried to head south past me on the shoulder, but I blocked him and he turned north. I stayed well back for fear if I came alongside him, he'd turn around again to get away from me. Then a car tried to pass me, so I steered back into the lane to block it for the same reason- not wanting the buck to turn around as that car passed him. I stayed with him to corral him toward the break in the wall ahead. Then, just as I was about to honk to startle him into leaping the guardrail to safety, a semi behind me did it first. Team work! And the buck made it off the road to safety.
