kairojya's video: Successful progress based synthesis in Final Fantasy XIV

I played Final Fantasy XI for about 3 years from the NA region release for PC. A couple years later I started a new account and played for an additional year or so. I did a lot of synthesis during those years and on a side not, I was a huge advocate of the cardinal direction crystal based crafting lol! In Final Fantasy XIV I tried crafting a little in closed and open beta, and also since the Collectors Edition (CE) release. I have had a very hard time and often became frustrated because I could just not figure out the crafting "mini-game". Now SquareEnix (SE) has done a very good thing this time around by answering some questions right off the bat of the games release. I sort of though SE's position on it might be something like "we built this extensive crafting system so that it is somewhat time consuming to give the players interested in crafting more 'feeling' to it so to speak". With that I would imagine they didn't intend for players to select their synthesis option as fast as possible and hit the enter key to just rail through the process. So I started to select my craft option and wait for the timer to nearly run out before hitting enter. In this way I noticed more success than with immediately hitting enter on each option (as fast as possible). After a couple weeks I guess I that process sort of evolved into what you see in this video here today.
