kingbotz's video: Crystal Ship inspired by The Doors The Crystal Ship

This was a little side-project inspired by a Doors song "The Crystal Ship." Legend has it, Jim Morrison was compelled to write the song after seeing an illuminated oil-rig one night off the West coast while on the beach.....and from a distance, the glittery-looking rig resembled a "crystal ship." The ship I have here, was a very old (70s?) hand-made all-metal fabricated ship I pulled out of the attic of one of my rental-properties 10 years ago. According to the inscribed-tab at the top of the rear-mast, it was made in Mexico and originally designed to hold 2 big candles at the bottom. I took out the candle-cups, primed the whole thing, then gave it an ocean-breeze blue paint-job with a little white mist on the top of the sails & stern to give it a light snow-effect. I really didn't know what else to do with this hideous thing but give it a better paint-job, but now I'm glad I did, looks so much better! It's pretty damn big too, spanning 52" long, 41" tall & about 12lbs! Anyway, this is just a little something I needed to get out of my system, made just for the Captain Lizard King. ;) Thanks for watching!
