I built five diddley bows for a friend and could not pass up the opportunity to have all of them plugged in and played at the same time. Fortunately, I was able to find five different amps. From back to front (or left to right) diddley bows are plugged into: Barcus Berry bass amp with Kustom 2x15 cabinet Crate VC60 combo amp on dirty channel Harbinger powered speaker (thanks to Joker) Peavey digital combo amp set to 'fuzz' (this one was really tweaky and was usually on the verge of whistling feedback, thanks again Joker) Marshall Valvestate head with Randall 4x12 cabinet (thanks to Luke) Amps are set around the studio. Marshall, Peavey and Harbinger are camera right, in front of diddley bows. Crate and Kustom are far camera left and back. I recorder this with the Zoom H2 portable recorder camera left and back behind me so there would be a sense of space, try listening on headphones. I didn't play with any kind of real preparation or tuning in mind, the notes here are the ones each diddley bow was at upon completion. I just banged away with two sticks and abandoned the idea of playing with a slide or making it 'bluesy, so it may not be what you expected. Thanks for watching and reading.
