@The Breaker 11/16/24 (edited 12/24/24)
RIG RUNDOWN Boss SP-303, Korg MicroKorg (via Boss SP-303 input), Korg Volca Beats, Casio Rapman keyboard via Vestax mixer. 1st gen Korg Kaoss pad on Vestax FX loop. Vestax mixer is then run through ‘current’ gen Kaoss Pad (using samples & FX). Soundwave is just hanging out. The Rapman is a very satisfying old keyboard (thanks Butters!). I used to have a bunch of Casio's, one full size one I REALY wish I still had but I killed it in a damp closet long ago. The Rapman has great drum sounds, the totally unique scratch feature, a great feeling keyboard (I like it more than the MicroKorg) and some great tones. I love Casio's flute sounds. The whole package sounds good to me, but I will admit that most of that is based on nostalgia. No shade if you don't get what I like about these instruments. I enjoyed using my nascent synthesis knowledge here and manipulating the crossfader on the Vestax as an 'envelope'. The Casio sounds are not variable at all, but I heard what I wanted and used the mixer to get it. Thanks for watching and reading.
