Τα «Παραξυπνήματα» τα έλεγαν τη Δευτέρα του γάμου σε πολλά χωριά της Ρόδου και ήταν κάτι παρόμοιο με τα κυπριακά «Ξημερώματα». Τα «Παραξυπνήματα» τα τραγουδούσαν συγγενείς και φίλοι στο αντρόγυνο έξω στην αυλή του σπιτιού τους. Εδώ παρουσιάζεται μια ζωντανή εκτέλεση με κατοίκους του χωριού και η ηχογράφηση έγινε από το Κέντρο Ερεύνης της Ελληνικής Λαογραφίας.Παίζει βιολί και τραγουδά ο Σάββας Φλεβάρης.
