For the past three years, cyclists from the United Kingdom participate in the annual three-day long cycling marathon. Covering a distance of 550 kilometres on a stretch of land that, for Muslims, epitomises courage and spirit. It is the journey Prophet Muhammad (Peace Be Upon Him) made 1445 years ago. The cycling event starts in Makkah outside Islam's holiest mosque. From there, the riders, over the next three days, cover 300 miles of road, passing through the country's flagship economic city known as KAEC, making their way to the city of Badr, and from there to the Holy city of Madinah.
