kwhitsitt1's video: What is Tourette Syndrome With Alternative Treatment

@What is Tourette Syndrome With Alternative Treatment!
Click on the link below for a free video guide to dietary supplements and alternative medicine! http://utahtexans.com/ In this video I want to talk about what is Tourette Syndrome as well as a few alternative treatments. I've heard in public speaking getting rid of nervous ticks is a good things. Such as saying the word “you know a lot” or so, that is mine or maybe it's a movement twitch. Nearly everyone has some ticks and apart from playing poker or public speaking doesn't really interfere with their life. If someone has a serious tick it could be a part of a condition known as Tourette Syndrome. For example someone with this condition may blurt out words they don't intend to say randomly or be constantly clearing their throat. Do you have any guesses on how this condition got named Tourette? Yep, it was the name of the person who discovered it. Everyone likes recognition right? At this point you might be wondering how in the heck does someone get this problem. Unfortunately the smartest people are not 100% sure, but they do have theories. One theory is that someone can get this condition from genetics and inheriting it. Another theory is that it has to do with brain not working correctly. For example imaging studies have shown that structure in a part of the brain called the basal ganglia is different when someone has this condition. When it comes to treatment you could look into alternative medicine such as acupuncture. In a study down at the TCM Hospital in China 102 people with this condition where divided into 2 groups. One group received acupuncture and the other group received the prescription drug Heloperidol. In the end the group that was treated with acupuncture the result was that 56 cases were cured, 10 improved and 2 were ineffective. In the group what received the prescription drug 15 cases were cured, 11 improved and 8 ineffective. Another idea would be to make changes to the diet such as eliminating gluten. Adding more omega 3 fats, such as taking a fish oil supplement, ensuring you are getting enough sleep and cutting back on caffeine and taking a multivitamin. Next there are some herbs such as valarian. According to the University of Maryland it can calm the nervous system. To get some more ideas on herbal medicine and supplements I did create a report and video guide all about this topic. It does things like simplify herbal medicine, shares tips on what to look for in a supplement as well as a few dangerous ingredients that are commonly found in a supplement that you should probably avoid.
