Music composed by Ubaldo Continiello for Lamberto Bava's rather underrated, eerie, gruesome, sleazy, & bloody DAMN good slow-burner of a directorial debut that makes it not only one of his best films out of his whole career, but even one of the greatest horror movies from the entire 80's. Macabre is filled with at least a few clever twists and turns, in addition to brooding tension (in honorable homage to his father, the legendary Italian horror maestro Mario Bava), as well as a well-deserved cult following, in addition to say the least, a unexpected yet equally disturbing climatic ending (similar to Pieces from 1982) that still manages to shock to this day.
