When Jack tells Mike to back off from finding Simon, Mike explains that Katie is not okay and in fact, he's worried about her. Jack refuses to help him but eventually is talked into asking Margo who agrees to reopen the Bartleby Shears case in spite of their involvement in the cover up. Surprisingly, new D.A. Tom assures Margo that there was no wrongdoing. Henry finds a hungover Katie at the cottage, moaning Simon's disappearance. Feeling guilty over keeping the letter from her, Henry offers to help ease Katie's pain. Mike later tells Katie that he wants to help find Simon because he cares about her. Alison allows Susan to stun Emily with the news that she and Rick are getting married today. When Susan starts to panic at the thought of all that must be done, Emily quickly gets into the spirit of the day and offers her help. Rick overhears Chris tell Walker that Bob woke up just to mention Rick's name. When Rick lets Walker know that he doesn't think he should be investigating anymore, Walker assures him that he never thought Gordo could have been the murderer. Rick asks Chris to be his best man today. After receiving flowers and a written apology, Alison approaches Chris about their relationship and, after a chat, the two renew their close friendship. Emily is approached by Jeffrey Starr, a man who claims to be a reporter looking for Rick. After Rick lets Walker know the hospital has ended his contract, Jeffrey calls to let him know he has info on the doctor's past. As The World Turns - July 23, 2003
