In this new InDesign tutorial series I show you how to produce great academic posters for science conferences. In this introductory video I discuss som key points that you should consider before you start designing in InDesign. - Know your audience and adjust your language / poster style accordingly - Know the poster size and orientation that is allowed on the conference you're attending - Make a draft on paper! Having a draft layout and an idea what should go on the poster will save you time in the long run. - Keep it to 300 words! Don't have a wall of text. No one will red that ; ) Remember that posters should be visual appealing, so have flowcharts, figures and diagrams! - Don't obsess over details at this point.
