With Illustrator CS6 Adobe has introduced a new pattern maker, that makes it really easy to create seamlessly joined patterns. We will use this new pattern tool to create a nice wave pattern for our map. We will also discuss how to use the grid and pen tool, to get an symmetric tile as an starting point of the pattern creation process. Finally I show how to export your pattern and use it in other illustrator documents as well.
