My computer/Sony Vegas gave me such a hard time with this vid. I've been trying to render it for like 20 hours now. It is finally rendered after like 5 attempts. Sorry it's not perfect but I'm NOT re-rendering it after all that. I just rendered it like this once before and thought I fixed it so that wouldn't be black and re-rendered the whole thing for over 2 and a half hours and that clip's still black. Oh well. Just ignore it and I wish it wasn't black but I give up. I didn't try that hard on my editing for this one anyway, this one wasn't about making something for me to be proud of as much as just having fun. I don't remember how I got all inspired to make this one. Maybe it was related to me planning to vid "Vienna" by him for Taylor on The O.C. - I'd still love to do that btw. Maybe it was just me rewatching 2x03 "Grilled Cheesus" when he sang this song. Anyway I decided I'd really like to vid this song about a month ago and haven't been able to shake the idea since. I wasn't *sure* I'd do it to Puck/Quinn - I kind of wanted to because the "white dress", "pray", and "cross of gold" lyrics could be matched perfectly, plus he kinda seemed to sing a part of the song directly to her in the show, plus that voiceover at the beginning I thought fit the song to a T!! BUT at the same time... I know Quinn's not Catholic, she's some other type of Protestant Christian. I knew I couldn't match all the lyrics perfectly. And honestly the show didn't have *that* much of Puck pressuring Quinn to be more adventurous rather than just staying "good" - besides, Quinn was a bitch cheerleader from the start, not your typical "good girl". I thought Meg/Chris on American Dreams would fit the song perfectly and Rory/Jess from Gilmore Girls could kinda work really well despite Rory not being at all religious - and even Rich/Grace from Skins crossed my mind. I considered making it a multi-ship vid but ultimately I really wanted to do Puck & Quinn. I know Glee so well now, somehow it's become the fandom I vid the most. And I know Quinn the best and this song is from the guy's POV about the girl... so... this was fun and easy for me to do, a Quinn-centric vid about my Quinn OTP, Quick. XD I didn't vid the Puck cover version of the song because I like this version a bit better btw. Sorry if you were hoping to hear Mark Salling's voice. :P I think at the very least most people can agree that Glee's instrumentation isn't as good as the ones in the originals of many songs. ;) Also it was funny I was replaying that scene of Puck covering this song in 2x03 "Grilled Cheesus" with my dad in the room and Puck starts by saying that Billy Joel is Jewish. And my dad was like "what? I didn't know he was Jewish". And we looked it up on wikipedia. And Billy Joel is an atheist. A cultural Jew.
