Original track of "She Loves Him Still"from Stevie's most recent album, "24 Karat Gold: Songs From The Vault". Written and recorded in 1984, it was originally intended for the "Rock A Little" album. There is speculation that this song was written for Joe Walsh. "'She Loves Him Still' is about the one that got away and the one that we will always love no matter what, no matter how many years go by, no matter how old we get, our memories of this one particular person will always live in our heart and will always come to us at the strangest times and all of a sudden we'll be standing on the beach and looking at the ocean and standing next to this person that was so very special to us. And in the song, "Not even he himself can change that, she loves him still"; Doesn't matter what anybody says or people say, "You know, well, it was really a horrible relationship and you were so miserable and I don't even know how you live through it". And all those things that people say to you, as the days go by those bad parts fade away and the things that weren't good about the relationship just kind of, you know, roll away from your brain and what you think of is the great things about that particular relationship that is really the one that you think of when you get old and it comes back to you all the time. And I love that I wrote this song a long time ago and I love that it's on this record now, and I love that it's the last song cause I always like to close my records with a ballad. And I do think that all women have this man in their life.
