The road to stardom wasn't an easy one for Stevie and Lindsey, and in this song, Stevie expresses her uncertainty about the future. She really doesn’t know what’s going to happen, she’s tired of being stuck in this rut and unsure of her future, and she's tired of things being this way and wants them to change, for her circumstances to improve, but she doesn’t know how to effect that change. And yet there's that line, "And he says, "Lady, you don't need to see". Lindsey trying to reassure her maybe. Let destiny rule. "And it really was what is to become of us. And we're unsure.
