Mostefa Ben-Boulaïd (5 February 1917 -- 22 March 1956) is an Algerian Berber (Chaoui) revolutionary leader. Algerian war film about the life and struggle of shaheed Mustapha Ben Boulaid, Co-produced by the Ministries of Culture and the Mojahedin and the company Maysan Balkis films, this film, the first advance screening which was attended by the president, recounts, for more than two hours, the life and battle of this great historical figure of the national movement and of the Special Organization (OS) and its role during the Liberation War, especially in the Aures region. The film, whose main role was entrusted to the actor Hacen Kechach, who plays the character of Ben Boulaid shaheed, discusses several aspects of the personality of the martyr, in particular human side and the heroic struggle he waged against the French colonizer. With a budget of 230 million dinars, the feature has attracted more than 600 amateur and professional artists from different parts of the country, while the main political and military roles of the occupying French were given to foreign players . The scenes of the movie were filmed in several cities, including Algiers, Oran and Constantine as well as in Tunisia and France. The writer of the film, Bekhouche Sadek, was based in the script, written documents, works of history and stories of the companions of shaheed, such as Ammar Bellagoun, Benchaïda Ali and Kamal, brother Ben Boulaid, and some members of his family. Militant nationalist Algerian People's Party (PPP) and the Movement for the Triumph of Democratic Liberties (mTLD), Mustapha Benboulaïd was a leading member of the OS and the Revolutionary Committee for Unity and Action (CRUA). He contributed to dynamically trigger the War of Liberation by participating in the Group of 22 and those of the Executive Committee. The shaheed Boulaid Ben then led the War of Liberation in the Aures Nememcha area until his death as a martyr on the night of 22 to 23 March 1956 at the age of 39 years. The film's director, Ahmed Rachedi, said in a press statement, the film marks the return of Algeria to its traditions in the field of film industry, while expressing his desire to see films of similar other heroes of the Revolution. He said he was also "very proud" to see the president to attend this event, reflecting, he says, "all the attention paid by the government at the highest level in the field of culture and cinema ". For its part, the main actor of the film, Kechach Hacen said he was "very honored" by the presence of President Bouteflika to the projection of the premiere of this film, saying it "demonstrates all the importance that the head of state gives the film dealing with our glorious Revolution. " He added, about his role in the film, as having played the character as a military veteran Ben Boulaid, is a "heavy responsibility he had to assume full and flawless."
