Adrian is a bubbly 4-year-old who has battled leukemia for more than half his life. Obsessed with fire trucks, two of his first words were fire truck. When his mother drives by the local fire station, he insists that she slow down so he can look at the fire truck. His wish was to have a bedroom makeover that would express his love of fire trucks. On his wish day, he was not disappointed as two fire trucks with sirens blazing came by for a special visit. They gifted him with toys, a hat, real firefighter pins and an axe, and ensured he had the full firefighter experience. Adrian was ecstatic to see his new bedroom, decked out with firehouse details from bedding and wall decals to toys and a lamp. It’s all perfect for a child who lights up each time he hears the sirens of fire trucks from a nearby station. “It’s really nice what Make-A-Wish did for Adrian.
