Battling a nervous system disorder, 5-year-old Juan has endured a lot in his life including brain surgery. Since he is unable to walk and has sensory issues, he would often watch his siblings play in their backyard but couldn’t join in on most of the fun. His perfect wish was an outdoor playhouse that would give him the freedom to play! His beautiful playhouse was custom built with Juan in mind. There’s a ramp so he can easily scoot in and out, an air conditioner so that he can play year-round, and so many developmental toys, all at ground level. Extra touches include colorful playmats, a white board, bean bags and a lamp. According to his mother, “Juan has been through so much. He loves being outside so having this outside structure is going to be amazing. Now his siblings can go inside with him, be with him and spend time with him. It’s really heartwarming.” Juan will spend hours and hours of time just being a kid because of his wish come true. His new playhouse has all the comforts of home.
