The children’s choir „Vukovarski golubići“ (Pigeons of Vukovar) started operating in October 2001 as part of then existing Folklore Society „Dunav“/Danube, Vukovar, with the wish to continue the tradition of singing in city of Vukovar. The aim was, among other things, to initiate social activities in the city after reintegration of Croatian territory and organization of work with children-returnees for the purpose of children’s cultural education in Vukovar. Since October 2011, the children’s choir "Vukovarski golubići“ operates independently. The Choir „Vukovarski golubići“ brings together children aged four (4) to twelve (12) years. So far, more than three hundred children have been involved in the Choir's membership, and today the Choir has about fifty members from Vukovar and surrounding areas, and also from Osijek. Dječji zbor “Vukovarski golubići” počeo je sa radom u listopadu 2001. godine u sastavu tadašnjeg KUD-a “Dunav”, Vukovar, a sa željom da se prije svega nastavi tradicija zbornog pjevanja u gradu Vukovaru. Cilj je, između ostalog, bio pokretanje društvenih aktivnosti u gradu nakon povratka i organizacija rada sa djecom povratnicima u cilju kulturnog odgoja djece Vukovara. Od listopda 2011. godine Dječji zbor “Vukovarski golubići” djeluje samostalno. Zbor Vukovarski golubići okuplja djecu uzrasta od četiri (4) do dvanaest (12) godina. Do sada je u članstvo zbora bilo uključeno nešto više od tri stotine djece, a danas zbor broji pedesetak članova s područja Vukovara i okolice, a i iz Osijeka.
