The sports-drama has already crossed Rs 100 crore at the box office in just three days after it hit the screens. This is an incredible feat for a film that is produced on a huge budget of Rs 180 crore by Kalpathi S Aghoram under their banner AGS Entertainments. Trade analyst Ramesh Bala took to Twitter to share the news and wrote, " has taken more than Rs100 Crs+ Opening at the WW Box Office.. In Chennai city, Bigil is dominating the box office by grossing Rs 5.26 crore at the end of three days of its theatrical run. The film has collected Rs 1.79 crore and Rs 1.73 crore on Friday and Saturday respectively and is continuing its stronghold at the box office. Bigil has been receiving mixed reviews ever since it hit the theatres on October 25. While critics panned the film for its length and the women empowerment angle, many fans were in awe of Vijay's charisma and style. Director Atlee always knows the art of playing to the gallery. Almost all of his films are intelligently packaged. So well, that there are elements to satisfy people of all age groups. Bigil belongs to the same type. You get a predictable story, but Atlee, as expected, adds mass elements, emotional scenes and kickass stunt sequences to keep you engrossed in his product.
