Or, perhaps it was my eleventh-hour attempt at air-conditioning the device? Whatever the reason, this phone was as good as dead; according to Verizon, the phone was a dud as they shipped me a new phone! I hope my videos can lead you down a similar path, but in a way that illuminates you to possible fixes. I, in no way, shape, or form back the placing of your device in front of an air conditioner.
