Easy to be reached from Piraeus (only 40’ away with a flying dolphin) it is a great place offering relaxing beaches (Marathon, Agia Marina, Souvala etc), some great fish taverns (especially in Perdika village) and of course its main town, Aegina, a nice town to stroll around its promenade and the back alleys. Don’t miss the archealogical sites of the island (Kolona, archaeological museum, Aphaea temple) and some important monasteries (Agios Nektarios and Panagia Crysoleontisa). On your way back don’t forget to but a big bag of pistachios (most probably you will eat most of them before you reach Piraeus so take more than one…)
