So, the three oldest codices of the Bible only surface after the 15 century a.d. The reputation of their antiquity was created by the authority of the same 'scientist 'Tischendorf, who has dated his codex Sinaiticus to mid fourth century a.d., inventing for that purpose a whole science of palaeography, that is a comparative style of handwriting method. But, the very idea of palaeographical dating apparently implies the existence of a known global chronology of other documents and thus cannot be regarded as an independent dating method in any way. Palaeography is useful per se, but not suitable for independent dating! Actually, Greek scribes from innumerable orthodox monasteries have been mass producing authentic ancient manuscript Old and New Testaments well into the 19th century! The latter were lively traded together with ancient Greece artefacts on bazaar of Athens!
