Old Testament books were compiled after those of the New Testament! One should also consider the issue of the age of the Biblical manuscripts that have reached our time. They all turn out to be of mediaeval origin. The oldest more or less complete copies of the [Greek] Bible are the manuscripts of Alexandria, Vatican, and Mount Sinai. All three manuscripts are dated palaeographically to the second half of the fourth century a.d. Is this the reason why the prophecies of the Old Testament get so nicely fulfilled in the New One?
