November 2016 was the month of victories for Chelsea as they not only ensured many victories but also topped the EPL table with 34 points till 10th December 2016. The blues are also maintaining their 8 consecutive victories. Now their star player Diego Costa has won the Premier League player of the month award for November 2016. Chelsea manager Antonio Conte is the manager of the month. He had also won the same award for October 2016. Pedro’s goal against Tottenham on 27th November 2016 has been selected as goal of the month. It’s the first time in EPL history when three awards has been given to the same club. Arsenal are in talks with Mesut Ozil and Alexis Sanchez over their contract renewal. Significant salary hike is expected as Ozil and Sanchez have successfully brought Arsenal to No.2 position in EPL till 10th December 2016. The contracts of these players end in June 2018 and the Gunners would like to keep Ozil and Sanchez in their journey to win trophies in the 2016-17 season. Lionel Messi is likely to extend his contract with Barcelona. His father and manager, Jorge Messi is negotiating the contract with Barcelona. The new deal can happen in January 2017. Contract extension will end all speculations about Messi’s future as he is heavily linked with a possible transfer to Manchester City. The Argentinian striker’s contract ends in June 2018. He has been playing for Barcelona since 2004. The new contract will ensure Messi’s retirement at the Nou Camp in 2022. But, a surprise transfer cannot be ruled out for Messi.
