Swami Prabhavananda gives a class on his classic book, The Sermon on the Mount, According to Vedanta in this 12 part series. Swami Prabhavananda was a disciple of Maharaj Swami Brahmananda, the spiritual son of Sri Ramakrishna. Swami P (as his disciples called him), came to the US in the 1920s, initially as an assistant minister at the San Francisco Vedanta Temple, then in 1930 he established The Vedanta Society of Southern California in Hollywood. Branch Centers were established later in Santa Barbara, where this lecture took place, and Trabuco Canyon in Orange County. Swami gave up the body on July 4th, 1976.
