@[PS2 mods] How to patch Kingdom Hearts (and other games) to work with a PS1 DualShock 1 controller
Some PS2 games, such as Kingdom Hearts, require a DualShock 2, either because of pressure-sensitive features or... no reason, apparently. Since my PS2 controllers are in poor condition, I decided to patch Kingdom Hearts. All I needed to do was replace the DS2 module with the DS1 module from another game. Since I didn't want to rebuild the ISO and the DS1 module is smaller than the DS2 one, I just padded the DS1 module and replaced the DS2 one with it using a hex editor. I don't think this game uses pressure sensitivity anyway... or does it? Troubleshooting: - make sure the size of the ISO doesn't change (especially when replacing the DS2O bytes)
