nas's video: Apple Mac M1 - Tomb Raider: The Angel of Darkness gameplay - CrossOver 21 Rosetta 2 test

@Apple Mac M1 - Tomb Raider: The Angel of Darkness gameplay - CrossOver 21 Rosetta 2 test
Just testing TRAOD on my M1 MacBook Air. It runs surprisingly well considering it's 32-bit x86 code, which requires special patches (included in CrossOver) to run even on Intel-based Macs since macOS 10.15. Depth pass causes issues, so I disabled it (and since projected shadows don't work without it, I disabled them, too). I also disabled Frame rate compensation (and enabled VSync) because it runs at 60 FPS most of the time anyway, and the game looks smoother and runs faster without it. I have also tried running it in a Parallels VM, but Hardware VP causes issues and disabling it makes the game run much slower at times, and dgVoodoo 2 crashes. The colours look wrong because OBS captured the screen without using the game's altered gamma value (so everything looked dark) and I did some tonemapping in post processing instead, to see what it would look like. Specs: MacBook Air, late 2020 (Apple M1 processor), 8 GB RAM, 7-core GPU, thermal pad mod + cooling pad (to prevent thermal throttling) Workarounds: winetricks: quartz, lavfilters (for movies) Windows 7 64-bit bottle Installed from CD + official patches. To run the game at native resolution, set the display resolution in macOS to 1280x800 scaled, and select 2560x1600 in the game settings (it won't affect the performance anyway). Recorded using a native build of OBS + Loopback. FPS counter: ReShade
