niallon's video: Sunday Bloody Sunday U2 - Cover

I know it's bordering on a humble brag, but I had in no way planned to cover this song until the last minute, and even then I just blurted out this cover. I was recording some other tracks and started reading the latest in the omnishambles that is Brexit. I'm sure many think I'm overreacting but the impact Brexit is having and can have on Ireland really can't be overstated. Like I've said before, songs like this are supposed to be important documentations of history, not predictions of the future. I would hope that a return to the worst of The Troubles would never be possible, nevertheless these latest moves from Boris and company are doing their best to increase that risk. Maybe (hopefully) I'm wrong, and most likely there are more twists and turns to come on all things Brexit. All I know is this year especially isn't one that needs to end with even more chaos, hopefully some common sense prevails.
