niallon's video: Midnight The Stars And You Al Bowlly - Cover

Another year, another Monster Mashup released a week before Halloween, meaning I need to scramble for a smaller scale Halloween related video! :) I'll be the first to admit The Shining is far from my favourite horror movie but I can't deny what it does well, it does best. That includes the ominous score and the excellent use of this golden oldie. I've always loved when songs get repurposed, this one being a prime example. Had it not been for Kubrick's choice to use it so prominently in the film it could very well have been lost amongst its many similar compatriots of the time yet here it is, preserved forever albeit with an unavoidable sinister and ominous menace to it. Which is kinda where my cover comes in. Once I got to work to see what I could throw together I started to find a really beautiful song, so much so I really didn't want to "Halloweenify" this video. So I only did a little bit....then added some of The Shining theme tune. I think it's a half decent balance anyways! Enjoy and watch/like/share/subscribe!
