niceandgames's video: Galactic Chase Atari 8bit -- Nice and Games

@Galactic Chase [Atari 8bit] -- Nice and Games
Galaxian. By Namco. Awesome arcade game. In the 80s, I enjoyed Atari's port of it for their 8-bit home computers. I also enjoyed Galactic Chase, however. This Galaxian clone was released in 1981, a year before Atari's port. I currently own a copy of the game on cassette, but back then, we had a "copy" of the game on floppy disk. And I played it quite a bit. Compared to Atari's port of Galaxian, this game actually looks more like the arcade original, and the sound effects are arguably better, though the harsh background noise would probably put some people off. I like it, though it probably would've been better with something less strident. Something...spacier. Like outer space. You know that outer space...sound.....yeah. Move and shoot. That's Galactic Chase. I like it. Hope it likes me. Yes, I am that insecure that I need my video games to like me. Oh, and one thing to mention about the "difficulty levels" in Galactic Chase. They are really just the natural progression of game difficulty. After the 10th wave of aliens, they starting moving faster. That's what the game manual calls a "skill level." So yeah. I'm not explaining it well. It's not that important. If it is really important to someone out there, I apologize. Thanks for watching!
