niceandgames's video: Zangeki no Reginleiv Nintendo Wii -- Nice and Games

Hello! I have wanted to make a video about this game for a long time, but never thought I could give a true review of it because I cannot understand the story as it is in Japanese, and I have not tried online play. Oh right, this game has online play. Anyway, I have decided to not let my lack of knowledge stop me! So here is a half-butt, full-crap review of Zangeki no Reginleiv! For the Nintendo Wii! This game was developed by Sandlot, the makers of the Earth Defense Force series, and it follows the same template as those titles. Even the menu system for selecting a weapon is similar. In this game you control Frey or Freya, and hack, slash, and blast your way through 63 levels of bloody battling. I tend to emphasize the blood too much in the video, but really, sometimes your are just surrounded by enemies and you have to hack them to bits and the blood goes everywhere. This video probably doesn't even really show the craziest bloody blood. This game was never released outside Japan for reasons I do not know. I remember seeing a mock-up of an English cover that called the game Dynamic Slash, or Dynamic Zan in Europe. I could probably investigate the reasons why Nintendo chose to not release it worldwide, but why do that when I can just wildly speculate? First, the game isn't the most refined in the world. The controls are good, but there is no doubt the camera controls can be inconsistent. The game also gets somewhat repetitive. Zangeki no Reginleiv has a CERO rating of D, which is equivalent to an M rating in the US, so perhaps Nintendo was concerned about their image of joyful happiness. Oh and hey, notice the game comes in a black case? That signifies danger! It's one of the few Wii games to not come in a white case. But I do go on and on. Why not just watch the video?
