Rrrrrrrrrrr...rrrrrrrrrrrr.....that's the best engine sound I can make. Well, I could probably do better if I tried, but, this is just text. OK, one more shot....VRRRrrraarrroooommm....rrrrroooooooooooo....rrraaaaaarrrrhhhh.... That's an engine monster. LeMans is a video game for the Commodore 64. If you've seen or played Sega's arcade classic Monaco GP, you might be thinking, hey, LeMans looks like Monaco GP. And you would be correct! This is a overhead view driving game, pitting you against the clock. Sure, there's opponent cars on the road, but, they are there just as obstacles, not as competitors. Your goal is to score 20,000 points before the timer runs out. If you do so, you get extra time and have to score 20,000 before THAT time runs out, and so on. This is an early C64 game, but, I think it holds up really well. The controls are simple, use the paddle (paddle controllers yeah!) to steer, and the fire button for gas. Drive fast, avoid cars, rack up points. A fun pick-up-and-play game that doesn't take a lot of time to play, and will have you trying to beat your high score!
