The release today (October 4, 2011) of NBA 2k12 got me thinking about the first game in the 2K series, NBA 2K. On the Sega Dreamcast! Man, that game was something else when it came out. Well, it was a game. Nothing else besides that. But it really showed off the power of the console! In this video I waste your time for 3 minutes showing some terrible gameplay of NBA 2K, along with Visual Concepts' NBA Action 98 on the Saturn. This game was a precursor to NBA 2K, but wow, NBA 2K was a huge upgrade graphically. Really a next-gen looking game at the time. NBA Action 98 is still a good game though. That's all really. Basketball!
